Truffula Tree Pencils

I have nothing to blog about today.
Nothing.
I did make truffula pencils for my son's birthday at school. I made 48 truffula pencils. And didn't take a single picture. Oh well. I found the tutorial here.

My changes:

-I used a sharpie marker for the stripes, because I thought the pencil might wear off too easily.
-I cheated and spray painted the pencils first. I had to do 48, and was being lazy. The only downfall was it's been kind of humid here (in the southwest desert--unusual) and they felt sticky for a while. But they worked in the end.

I wrote up a little card and attached them that was based off the Lorax quote about the last of the truffula seeds.

You are in charge of the last Truffula Tree.Treat it with care.Give it clean water.And feed it fresh air.Unless someone like you caresa whole awful lot.Nothing is going to get better.It's Not!


I just love how they turned out! So, if you're planning a Lorax party, these are the must to thing to make! Plus it's great for school parties where they don't want candy anymore.
