Do you guys have any classic movies you watch in family? Let me just tell you there are two movies that are classics in my family, one of those movies that your parents talk about as a preciousity. One of those movies is La Grande Vadrouille, a french movie from 1966 that stars two of the most famous french comedians: Bourvil and Louis de Funès. I remember watching this movie on a VHS back when I was a kid but I couldn't remember anymore what the plot was about and why we all like this movie so much. 
Vocês têm algum filme clássico que vejam em família? Deixem-me apenas dizer-vos que há dois filmes que são clássicos na minha família, daqueles filmes que os vossos pais falam como se fosse uma preciosidade. Um desses filmes é a La Grande Vadrouille, um filme francês de 1966 com dois dos mais famosos comediantes franceses: Bourvil e Louis de Funès. Lembro-me de ver este filme em VHS quando era criança mas não me consiga lembrar da história nem por que é que gostávamos tanto deste filme.


La Grande Vadrouille starts with three pilots from Royal Air Force having their plane bombed over Paris and it goes on with how these pilots make their way to escape from German-occupied France with the help of two French men who come from very different social backgrounds.
La Grande Vadrouille começa com três pilotos da Royal Air Force a verem o seu avião bombardeado sobre Paris e segue como esses pilotos tentam escapar da França ocupada pelos alemães com a ajuda de dois franceses que vêm de diferentes contextos sociais.



Last night we sat down in family and got together to watch this movie again. Even my brother-in-law (who doesn't have a french culture so he isn't exactly such an avid lover of anything frenchy) watched the movie and I can tell you we all spent the whole movie giggling. Now I remember why we love this movie so much and why sometimes older movies are so much better! Just for curiosity, let me tell you this was the most successful french movie until 2008 - if there is a movie I truly recommend you to watch, this is the one! Enjoy it! :)Ontem à noite sentámo-nos em família e juntos vimos este filem de novo. Até o meu cunhado (que não tem uma cultura francesa por isso não é propriamente um apreciador ávido de tudo o que seja francês) viu o filme e posso dizer-vos que passámos todos o filme inteiro às risadas. Agora lembro-me por que gostamos tanto deste filme e por que, por vezes, os filmes antigos são muito melhores! Apenas por curiosidade, deixem-me dizer-vos que este foi o mais bem sucedido filme francês até 2008 - se há um filme que verdadeiramente recomendo que vejam, este é o filme! Aproveitem! :)
