October is here and I couldn't be happier. I always feel a bit nostalgic in October - perhaps because I was born in this beautiful month, perhaps because I love watching seasons changing. October might be very special because here it marks the end of Summer and the beggining of Autumn - somehow I love the warm days of Summer and the feeling of being able to rest on my holidays but I can't help but loving Autumn as well, its beautiful colours, the need to add warmer clothes and all those nostalgic feelings that invade me these days. This year I might just be feeling a bit more nostalgy in the air than usual as I will be turning 20 and my life is changing so much... I'm on my senior year at university, I am working on an internship, I am getting my driving license - so many changes that somehow make me feel like I'm turning a page here.
Outubro está aqui e eu não podia estar mais feliz. Sinto-me sempre um pouco nostálgica em Outubro - talvez porque tenha nascido neste mês lindÃssimo, talvez porque adoro ver as estações a mudar. Outubro talvez seja muito especial porque aqui marca o fim do Verão e o começo do Outono - eu de certa forma adoro os dias quentes de Verão e a sensação de poder descansar nas minhas férias mas não consigo deixar de adorar o Outono também, as suas bonitas cores, a necessidade de vestir roupas mais quentes e todos os sentimentos nostálgicos que me invadem por estes dias. Este ano talvez eu esteja a sentir uma ainda maior nostalgia no ar já que vou fazer 20 anos e a minha vida está a mudar tanto... estou no meu último ano da universidade, estou a fazer um estágio, estou a tirar a carta - tantas mudanças que me fazem sentir que estou a virar uma página.

I wore this outfit when I was at my parent's for the 5th October - holiday of the establishment of the Portuguese Republic. These photos were taken close to my house, next to my old school. I have always enjoyed this place since I was a little girl and somehow it occured me it would be a nice place to match my outfit. I went on a walk with my mom (something I always do when I go home) and took the chance to get some flowers and leaves on my notebook, I really enjoy opening it and remembering where I caught this or that.As it is still quite a nice temperature here in Portugal, I haven't yet worn tights or coats so I decided to wear warm colours to evoke this new season.My skirt has this beautiful cornucopias pattern, I love how classy and yet so unique it is. Unfortunately, this skirt seems to be a bit large for me so I've put a belt over it and turned it into a sort of paperbag skirt. I love how it contrasts with my mint top (have you noticed its back?) and my mustard cardigan... I usually see bloggers from other countries wearing warmer clothes but I am definitely the sort of person who wears a cardigan in Autumn, specially one just as lovely as this one. As I was looking at these pictures, I realised I am sort of wearing this colour combination unconsciously which made me think that the fashion I see may reflect the fashion I wear. Does this happen to you as well?Usei este outfit quando fui a casa no 5 de Outubro. Estas fotos foram tiradas perto de minha casa, ao lado da minha antiga escola. Sempre gostei deste local deste pequena e não sei como, ocorreu-me que talvez fosse um bom local para combinar com o meu outfit. Fui caminhar com a minha mãe (algo que faço sempre quando vou a casa) e aproveitei para apanhar algumas flores e folhas para o meu caderno, gosto sempre de o abrir e lembrar-me de onde apanhei isto ou aquilo.Como ainda está uma temperatura agradável em Portugal, ainda não usei collants ou casacos por isso decidi usar cores quentes para evocar esta nova estação. A minha saia tem este padrão lindo de cornucópias, adoro como é clássico e tão único ao mesmo tempo. Infelizmente, a saia parece ser um pouco larga para mim por isso decidi colocar um cinto por cima e transformá-la numa espécie de saia paperbag. Adoro como contrasta com o meu top menta (repararam na parte de trás?) e o meu casaco de malha mustarda... normalmente vejo bloggers de outros paÃses a usar roupas mais quentes mas eu sou definitivamente o tipo de pessoa que usa um casaco de malha no Outono, especialmente se for tão adorável como este. Enquanto estava a olhar para estas fotos, apercebi-me que meio que estou a usar esta combinação de cores inconscientemente, o que me fez pensar que a moda que vejo talvez se reflicta na moda que uso. Também vos acontece?
