Lately I've wanted to try again. I've been searching for easy recipes. Something that is kind of a no-fail recipe.
Let me tell you, this Crusty Bread recipe from Simply So Good is it. Seriously!

Although I would like to try out the bread machine again. I'm not a fan of kneading the dough. I kinda like the idea of just putting the ingredients in and out comes bread. That and the fact that a bread machine wont heat up my house like having the oven at 450 degrees for over an hour does. And it's getting to be summer time....and we really don't run our air conditioner....I think it's time to borrow the bread machine again. Until then, I'm eating this bread right now. Well I'm supposed to save it for dinner, but someone has to try it out to make sure it's dinner quality right?
Crusty Breadfrom Simply So Good{ingredients}
3 cups unbleached all purpose flour1 3/4 teaspoons salt1/2 teaspoon yeast1 1/2 cups water{directions}
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt and yeast. Add water and mix until a shaggy mixture forms. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and set aside for 12 - 18 hours. Overnight works great. Heat oven to 450 degrees. When the oven has reached 450 degrees place a cast iron pot with a lid in the oven and heat the pot for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, pour dough onto a heavily floured surface and shape into a ball. Cover with plastic wrap and let set while the pot is heating. Remove hot pot from the oven and drop in the dough. Cover and return to oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes remove the lid and bake an additional 15 minutes. Remove bread from oven and place on a cooling rack to cool.
